Arsenal Win but Arteta smoked after Lewis-Skelly’s removal

An “absolutely smoked” Mikel Arteta is confident that Arsenal will not have to attract Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card to Wolves this afternoon, as he thinks he will be canceled.

The teenager was sent in the first half in the first half to Molineux for what seemed like a fairly harmless foul to Matt Doherty on the edge of the box of wolves.

Referee Michael Oliver was quick to show a straight red with Var Darren England, feeling that the officer had to be sent to the pitch monitor.

The wolves sent Joao Gomes with 20 minutes to go and Arsenal took full advantage, Riccardo Calafierori’s substitute shot the only goal four minutes later.

Arteta told Sky Sports: “It’s amazing what the boys did again. In the context in which they launched us again, they were characters, team personality, courage and intelligence to play the game We wanted to play.

In Lewis-Skelly’s dismissal, he added: “Of course, I leave it to you (the media). I’m absolutely smoking but I leave it with you. Because it’s so obvious. I don’t think my words will help you. “”

Asked if Arsenal would call, “This is that the club decides which is the best decision. I think it is so obvious, maybe we don’t even need it.”

Shearer bewildered by the red card

BBC Pundit Alan Shearer tagged the decision “one of the worst I have seen in a long time.”

The former Captain of England said, “As a referee, you can make a mistake -you may be able to see something wrong.

“As Earth Darren England, the VAR, believes that the referee has this right and you do not need to send it to the screen.

“One of the worst decisions I’ve seen for a long time.

I just can’t see and work on what Var is thinking about with Michael Oliver’s decision.

“It is not surprising that it is criticized by so many people.”
