Team India ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma were visibly shocked when a fan broke through security and entered the stadium. The incident occurred during the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Jammu and Kashmir at BKC’s Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Mumbai on Saturday, January 25.
Rohit endured a poor Test series in Australia, managing just 31 runs in five innings. He was then made available for the ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir. However, his struggles continued as the right-handed batsman was dismissed for just 3 in the first innings and 28 in the second.

A fan invaded the field as Jammu and Kashmir chased down the target. Rohit Sharma, standing on the boundary line, was visibly shocked to see the fan coming towards him. Security quickly intervened, escorting the land invader. Play resumed shortly after a brief interruption on the third day.
