Reinhart, 28, praised Martin, 26, for his “love and support” via Instagram stories on Thursday, January 23, following her candid interview with Self magazine.
The cover story, titled “Lili Reinhart fights for her health – and yours,” was published on Wednesday, January 22. In the interview, the Riverdale the actress revealed that she had been diagnosis With interstitial cystitis, a chronic illness that causes a person’s bladder or bladder wall to become irritated and inflamed.
“Also. Never in my life could I have gone through this without my partner. It’s not easy having a boyfriend with a chronic illness — when I spent months barely leaving the house, unable to walk due to pain, and feeling incredibly depressed because of the change in my quality of life,” Reinhart wrote alongside side with a candidate image of Martin through Instagram stories.
“Jack’s love and support has never wavered for a moment during a time when my body was really breaking down,” she added.
It was Reinhart and his co-actor Martin First affiliate in April 2023, when they were spotted kissing outside LAX. Since then, they have made several public appearances together, including at red carpet events. They also often post about each other on Instagram.
Most recently, Martin and Reinhart shared a Holiday themed photo shoot with their dog on Instagram in December.
“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our little family,” they captioned the post.
In Challenge Self Interview, Reinhart shared the difficult journey to finally reach a diagnosis after months of doctor visits and procedures, including a cystoscopy. The star also posted a A series of pictures of various medical appointments via Instagram on Thursday.
“Being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis while searching for answers to a mysterious autoimmunity/inflammatory disease is making 2024 the hardest year of my life,” Reinhart wrote in the caption.

“I was inspired to speak about this after doctors ignored my grandmother for months when she showed clear symptoms of cancer – and it was only after her strength and self-advocacy that she got a blood test that diagnosed her . And by then, the cancer had spread,” he added.
Reinhart continued: “The most important thing I’ve taken away from this experience is the absolute need to advocate for your own health. Don’t let a doctor enlighten you or minimize your pain. I hope that the men and women out there who are struggling to find answers feel even the tiniest bit that my experience has seen. “
