Promoter Bob Arum says that Naoya Inoue will fight again in the spring after the explosion of the fourth round of little known Ye Joon Kim on Friday night in Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
The FIB, CMB and Shado Good Gallo weight champion, Inoue (29-0, 26 kos) dropped the unfortunate Kim (21-3-2, 13 kos) in the fourth round with the right hand . It was then counted outside at 2:25 by referee Mark Nelson.

Arum does not say who Inoue, 31, could be struggling, but for most American fans, this is the real talent of someone because he is delighting with a minor opposition. If Inoue will fight Las Vegas or Los Angeles, he must fight quality fighters. American fans are less tolerant of the gentle opposition that Inoue has been struggling that their faithful fans of Japan.

Fans want to see that Naoya risks once and fight against people like Gervonta Davis, Rafael Espinoza or Emanuel Navarrete. In other words, fighters where Inoue would be the disadvantaged for the first in his career instead of an overwhelming favorite as we saw in his fight against Ye Joon Kim.
This fighter had been hired to replace the initially programmed opponent of Naoya, Sam Goodman, a lighter punch who had not defeated anyone prominent to win the mandatory place. He would have surpassed Inoue as the dark fighter Kim.
Interestingly, Kim had lost before the officer Rob Diezel (14-9) by 2023. Why was Kim even used as opponent for Inoue after this defeat? Naoya promoters could also have used Diezel as their opponent. What is the difference?
