After the drama during the return of the Champions League this week, it was now the turn of the Europa League to serve a half week action.
On Thursday, 16 games were played, with the 4-1 victory of Besiktas on the Atlético Club on Wednesday evening.
The two English clubs were in action, Manchester United welcomed Rangers and Tottenham traveling to Hoffenheim.
The Red Devils of Ruben Amorim scored a late winner to beat Rangers, meanwhile, the Lilywhites of Ange Postecoglou almost threw comfortable leadership in Germany, but managed to keep it by three main points.
Anywhere else, Fenerbahce de Jose Mourinho took Lyon, but did not find a path in front of his French opponents, drawing 0-0 at home.
The Portuguese side Porto welcomed Olympiacos but was short, losing 1-0 thanks to a goal of the 79th minute of Ayoub Kaabi.

Rome headed for Az Alkmaar and like so many others were at the end of a shock result. The Italians lost 1-0 courtesy of the ex-man of Tottenham, Troy Parrot, scoring the only goal of the game.
Lazio faced Real Sociedad on something heavy. The hosts won the winners 3-1 and Sociedad sent Ahihen Munoz to the first half, which made it a difficult tie to turn it around.
And Ajax was at the end of a shock result, losing 1-0 from home to RFS.
This was not the end of the action, with dozens of goals flying around an excellent European football night.
