Chris Pratt Says Former Anna Faris’ House Burns During LA Fires

Chris Pratt offer an update on his family in the middle of the ongoing LA firesrevealing that ex-wife Anna Faris‘ home burnt down.

“Okay, I’m going to look at my house. Miraculously it’s still standing,” said Pratt, 45, in an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday, January 22. “By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof.”

Pratt said he was “going to check on town,” noting he hadn’t been back to his home since the Palisades fires.

“It’s really devastating, as you know. A silver lining is that my house was saved but, at the same time, so many people’s houses were burnt down around us and the community is gone,” he continued. “My son’s school is gone. My son’s mother’s house burned down.”

As wildfires continue to spread across the Los Angeles area, several celebrities are taking to social media to share how they have been affected. “Empty and safe with children, dogs and cats. Pratt shares 12 year old son Jack with Faris, 48, to whom he was married between 2009 and 2018. Following their divorcehe moved on with Katherine Schwarzenegger. Pratt and Schwarzenegger, 35, tie the knot in 2019 and since then welcomed three children. (Faris married a cinematographer Michael Barrett in 2021.)

The Guardians of the Galaxy The star ended her video on Wednesday telling Instagram followers she would update them as they deal with the aftermath of the fires.

“It’s been a tough few weeks, but we’re resilient,” Pratt captioned the video. “Praying for LA and everyone affected, we will get through this together. God bless.”

On January 7, an extreme windstorm caused by the Santa Ana gusts led to fast-burning brush fires that quickly spread through Los Angeles. The fires are 70 percent contained, and more than 23,000 acres of land have burned, as of Wednesday. At least 27 people have been killed by the fire.

Celebrities have been speaking out in the wake of the destruction, sharing updates on their homes, some of which have been burnt to the ground. Pratt is one of the lucky ones whose house is still standing. Earlier this week, Nina Dobrev speak honestly about “feeling survivor’s guilt” after her home survived one of the fires.

“I put myself in the shoes of all these people whose homes have burned to the ground with their belongings, their memories, everything that made them feel safe in the world that has now go, and their insurance has dropped them,” said the actress. Instagram video on January 19. “For some of them, the level of tragedy is immeasurable and it’s very difficult to understand. They have lost everything.”
