David Warner, Glenn Maxwell among others named in BBL|14 Team of the Tournament



The Team of the ongoing Tournament Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 has been announced The eight BBL coaches have picked a special squad with some of the best players who shone in the competition with their supreme consistency.

David Warner will lead the special team

Two players from BBL|14 finalists Hobart Hurricanes have made the cut: Mitchell Owen i Tim David. top scorer Cooper Connolly of Perth Scorchers has also earned a place in the squad. Sydney Thunder’s David Warner has been named captain of this special team, while Sam Billings assume the role of goalkeeper. Warner, who is the second best player in the tournament, brings his wealth of experience and leadership to the squad, adding more depth to the line-up.

Notably, five of the 12 squad members are still in the hunt for the title in BBL|14 as the Sixers take on the Thunder in their opening BBL (Challenger) final clash in Sydney at the SCG on Friday . The exciting contest will see both teams battle it out for a place in the finals, with the winner set to advance to face the Hurricanes in the highly-anticipated title clash next Monday.
