Austin Butler’s Style Soars in YSL Campaign Post-Kaia Gerber Split

On the other hand, his style status has reached new literal heights, as demonstrated on Wednesday, January 22, when luxury label Saint Laurent cast Butler, 33, to star in their new Spring 2025 campaign, replete with a video of him having ‘to wear to the nines in a three-piece suit.

In the short film, Butler wears a dapper tan blazer with a pinstriped button-down shirt and a dark teal tie, as he gazes out at the Manhattan skyline from a swanky corner office window that befits a real-life Saint Laurent man for the town, as he regularly wears the designer.

This collaboration further cements Butler’s status as a style icon and reinforces Saint Laurent’s reputation for choosing influential figures to represent its brand on the red carpet and beyond.

Together, the imagery of the campaign images and accompanying video evoke a sense of timeless elegance and modern masculinity, in keeping with the house’s founder, Yves Saint Laurent himself, whose boxy strong shoulder suits have inspired the new season styles seen here.

This is not the actor’s first foray into the world of Saint Laurent. He previously served as the global ambassador for YSL Beauty’s MYSLF men’s fragrance, a role that further cemented his association with the brand. Outside of official campaigns, Butler has consistently chosen Saint Laurent for high-profile appearances, including the 2023 Academy Awards and the subsequent Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where she wore no two full-on looks each laced with codes the suave style of the house.

It marked a highly publicized red carpet moment as Butler took Gerber, 23, as his date, who nearly stole the show in a stunning Celine dress with a slit that revealed the model’s mile-long legs.
