The Girl Next Door alum, 39, returned to Instagram on Tuesday, January 21, to thank fans for their support after her posting recent photo highlighting her weight gain. His most recent post featured black-and-white close up photo of her face, a contrast to the full-body mirror selfie that first got the internet talking.
“Thank you for all the positive comments after my last post,” she wrote in the caption. “Welcoming a slightly different life now a few days….I’ve had my fair share of hardships and difficulties these past few years but I’ve learned how to rise above and let life flow.”
The original post came out on January 12 and has amassed nearly 150,000 likes since it was initially shared. It contains many supportive comments from fans drowning out the trolls.

“Yes, I have gained weight. Yes, I’m getting old. Yes, I’m not that girl I was before (playboy girl) 🤣,” she wrote at the time. “But for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy.”
Wilkinson elaborated on her new mindset in her latest post, adding that gaining weight is a “failure” and it isn’t.
“I do enough every day to keep myself standing upright, healthy, mentally healthy and smiling,” she continued. “Overcoming challenges shapes us into new people and I’m willing to live and learn and grow through it all while staying focused and motivated.”
Wilkinson has undergone a significant makeover since her days as one of Hugh Hefner‘s lovers. Now a mother of two, she is a real estate agent and even stars in the reality TV series Kendra Sells Hollywoodwhich ran for two seasons on Discovery Plus.
She explained in her previous job that she stays busy by cooking, exercising and golfing. She also monitors her alcohol intake.

Wilkinson shares son Hank IV, 15, and daughter Alijah, 10, with an ex-husband Hank Baskettto whom she was married between 2009 and 2018.
Her fans appreciated her honesty, flooding the comments with additional words of support.
“The amount of respect and admiration I’ve felt for you over the years is something I wish I had words for,” wrote one fan. “It’s the coolest thing to see you grow and evolve and find peace and balance. You motivate so many people and you don’t even realize it.”
