Ali Krieger, Ashlyn Harris Finalize Divorce Almost 2 Years After Split

Alley Warrior a Ashlyn Harris‘ divorce proceedings have ended, Us Weekly can only confirm.

The retired football players finalized their divorce on December 4, 2024, according to court documents obtained by Us. They each retain the rights to their names, likenesses and photographs and will share joint legal custody of Sloane and Ocean’s children, who will live primarily in New Jersey. In accordance with the documents, any move would have to be made in the best interests of the children.

The documents also reveal that Krieger, 40, and Harris, 39, sold their property in Florida in order to divide assets. All keep individual savings accounts and cars. Kriege also gets to keep the security deposit on her home in New Jersey.

Us it was previously confirmed that Harris was the first to file for divorce in Florida in September 2023. In the filing, Harris described her marriage to Krieger as “irretrievably broken.”

After news broke of her split from Krieger, there were rumors that Harris was moving on with the actress Sophia Bushwho had also just separated from his then husband, Grant Hughes. Krieger also asked the court to implement a “legal custody and residential and parenting time arrangement that protects the best interests of both of their children.” Krieger and Harris share two children – daughter Sloane and son Ocean – who they adopted in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

In addition to an equitable custody arrangement, Krieger also asked the court to divide her and Harris’ assets and liabilities equally. Krieger also wanted Harris to pay his child support and legal fees.

Harris and Krieger met while playing for the US Women’s National Soccer Team and became engaged in September 2018. While the pair kept their romance low-key at first, they decide to go public and get married the following year.

As Krieger and Harris navigate their public split, both athletes have been open about their relationship struggles. In November 2024, Harris claimed that she and Krieger were “not close” during their marriage.

“I didn’t feel that sense of connection whether it was emotional or physical. It was football, work, kids and somewhere else it was like, ‘OK, what about me?'” he said during an episode of the “Naked Sports With Cari Champion” podcast. “I decided to leave my marriage after almost four years and a decade of being together.
