In the 14th match of the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025, MI Emirates bowling player Pastor Romario he put in a brilliant display throughout, leading his team to victory over the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The match witnessed an impressive bowling performance from Shepherd, who picked up two crucial wickets, including one from ADKR’s key batsmen, Alishan Sharafuwith impressive delivery.

The drama unfolded in the sixth innings for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, when Shepherd took center stage. With the Knight Riders already under pressure, Shepherd delivered a ball that would leave a lasting impression on fans and players alike. Shepherd, with his impeccable line and length, bowled just outside the off stump, and the ball snapped back sharply, catching Sharafu right at the crease. The delivery clipped the wicket and blew the top off stump. Sharafu, who was in no condition to reply, was dismissed for just 4 runs off 3 balls.

Before dismissing Sharafu, Shepherd had already had another key wicket in the same. On the 3rd ball of the 6th over, he dismissed Michael Pepper who had looked dangerous in the early stages of his innings. Shepherd bowled a full ball hitting the stumps, and Pepper tried to force it down the ground but could only get a thick outside edge, which was caught safely by Nicholas Pooran behind the stumps
Shepherd not only shone with the ball but also made a tremendous impact with the bat. Earlier in the MI Emirates innings, he unleashed a devastating batting display, scoring 38 runs off just 13 balls. Shepherd hit 4 fours and three sixes, achieving a staggering strike rate of 292.31.
