Ekster’s stylish wallet is pocket perfection

If you worry about losing your wallet, you can take a tracker card for $49 extra. I opted for the android versionwhich works with the Chipolo network to show the last known location of your wallet on a map. There is also an iOS version that works with Apple Find My network. Like everyone else the best trackersBoth versions allow you to grab your wallet from your phone, which is ideal when you have a train to catch, and your wallet slipped between the couch cushions. You can also set left alerts, so you’ll be pinged if your wallet runs out of your phone.

Battery life is six months for the iOS tracker and about three for the Android version. You can plug in the iOS model to recharge it, but the Android tracker has a solar panel to keep it charged. They are as big as a pair of cards and fit neatly in your back pocket. I have never lost my wallet.

More minimalistic

While the Ekster Parliament is my favorite, I have tried some of Ekster’s other models. The Cardholder and Cardholder Pro ditch the leather exterior for an even sleeker finish and come in several fun colors and patterns like forged magma and carbon fiber. Keep the trigger and other features and are perfect if you prefer to travel as light as possible. I gave a couple as gifts, and my oldest uses the Ekster Cardholder and loves it.

Space is limited when you opt for a minimalist wallet like this, and there is no room for coins and only limited space for bills. But there are optional add-ons. The modular extras include a multi-tool paper ($49)a back plate for cash clip ($29)and a coin tray ($29). The coin tray is quite useful and can even accommodate a key, but you don’t want to add too many extras, or your wallet will swell.

Ultimately, the Ekster Parliament has been in my inner pocket for several years, and it still works perfectly. I never miss my fat old wallet, and I always enjoy pulling that trigger every time I reach for my card. The tracker has also been a lifesaver a couple of times, reassuring me that I left my wallet in my other jacket and not out somewhere. It’s a bit pricey, but it might just be the last wallet you need to buy.
