Former interim WBC junior middleweight champion Serhii Bohachuk weighed in at 153.1 pounds, while his replacement opponent Ishmael Davis came in at 153.6 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in for his 12-round bout this Saturday December 21 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

British nationally ranked fighter Davis (13-1, 6 KOs) fights at world level for the second time after closing with junior middleweight contender Josh Kelly in their previous fight on September 21 at the London Wembley.

Ishmael is not the ideal opponent, but according to promoter Eddie Hearn, Turki Alalshikh is far above him; therefore, the 29-year-old Davis is being used as Bohachuk’s replacement opponent rather than a top-15 prospect.
