Indian national cricket team players returning to domestic cricket comes after BCCI made strict guidelines. All the players have to play the domestic games or else they will have to face the consequences related to pay cuts and sanctions in IPL as well.
Jadeja will come into the game after a decent performance in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The all-rounder did not play in the first few games of the series and then returned to the eleven for the final three games at the Gabba, Melbourne and Sydney.
Jadeja had a good start with bat and ball but was not consistent. His contributions were not enough as the Indian national cricket team lost the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a margin of 1-3 and also failed to reach the final of the World Cup in ICC tests.
Jadeja played a valiant innings at the Gabba as he hit a brilliant half-century and helped his team level the match. However, in the last two games, he failed to set the stage alight with the bat. The all-rounder also picked 4 wickets in the series at an average of 54.
Ravindra Jadeja, along with some senior players in the team recently, has come under massive scanner for his poor run of form. The all-rounder is undoubtedly a crucial member of the team, and playing in the Ranji Trophy is sure to help him gain confidence and regain his rhythm.
He has also been named in the Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will be played from February 19, with the final on March 9. He would be a key member of the team and would want to help his team win.
