Louis Partridge and Olivia Rodrigo
MEGAOlivia Rodrigo still feels so “American” next to his girlfriend Louis Partridge – especially during their latest date in New York City.
Rodrigo and Partridge, both 21, were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll around Greenwich Village on Friday, January 17. The actor was spotted walking alongside Rodrigo, wrapping an arm around her lower back.
The Grammy winner and Partridge dressed casually for the outing. Rodrigo wore a striped shirt under a black quilted coat with blue trousers and a pair of sunglasses. Meanwhile, Partridge opted for a black button-down jacket and khakis.
The couple have been dating since the fall of 2023 after they were spotted packing on the PDA in Partridge’s native London. Since then, the couple have kept their romance relatively low profile and out of the public eye.
“Dating probably shouldn’t be done in the public eye,” Partridge say British Vogue in a profile in March 2024. “There is enough going on between two people. You don’t need the voices of thousands of other people in your head. I think she is much worse than I have. I can be quite a normal person. She has a lot of eyes on her case.”
He added at the time, “If there’s a bunch of people screaming in a room about you, you can choose to put your ear to the door to hear what they’re saying or not. I think you’re probably better off not letting curiosity get the better of you.”
Partridge has been ever since a staple in Rodrigo’s concerts in the US and across the pond. She is return the favor by supporting his career achievements when they made their red carpet debut in August 2024 of his show Disclaimer during the Venice International Film Festival.
Fans have also speculated that Rodrigo’s song “So American” was written about Partridge.
“And he laughs at all my jokes / And he says I’m so American / Oh God, it’s just not fair of him / To make me feel this much,” Rodrigo sings on the song, which she released in March 2024 on her album gut. “I’d go anywhere he goes / And he says I’m so American / Oh God, I’m going to marry him / If he keeps this – up.”
Rodrigo famously chooses not to name his songwriting ideas — including on “2021 Driver’s License,” which was widely rumored to be about her ex. Joshua Bassett – and Partridge has done the same.
“Not my song, not my place,” the British star is briefly reported Elle in October 2024. “So, I wouldn’t know.”
