Jessica Alba addressed her recent decision to separate from her husband Silver Warbler after 16 years of marriage.
“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years – both individually and in partnership with Cash,” Alba, 43, wrote in a Thursday, January 16, Instagram statement. “I am proud of how we have grown in our marriage over the past 20 years and it is now time for us to begin a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
He added, “We move forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and we will be a family forever. Our children are still our highest priority and we ask for privacy at this time.”
Alba and Warren, 45, share three children: Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 6.

News broke on January 8, that Alba and Warren preparing to file for divorce. A source said later Us Weekly and faced Alba and Warren “trust issues” and “lots of pros and cons.”
“They’ve tried therapy and worked through past issues over the years,” the insider said Us. “There were trust issues in the past which led to many arguments. … the marriage ran its course. Their communication had not been great.”
A second source said, meanwhile Us that Alba and Warren intend formally filed for divorce “soon.”
“Cash has been slowly moving things out of their house but since the fires, they’ve been spending more time under the same roof as a family,” added the second insider. “They are there for each other at the moment as it is a stressful time.”
Alba and Warren had been together for over two decades, meeting on the set of The Fantastic Four in 2004. They married four years later in mid Alba’s pregnancy with the eldest daughter, Honor.
“Whenever I doubt myself for a second, he’s the first one to come up and say, ‘You can do this, I believe in you,'” Alba later said Us in 2011. “I don’t know what I would do without him there. And he is so good with the kids. We are very happy.”
Over the years, however, Alba and Warren face their twists and turns as a couple.
“It’s all been rosy for two and a half years. But then after that, you become roommates,” Alba said with a laugh during the July 2021 appearance on Katherine Schwarzeneggersocial media show “Before, During and After Baby”. “You’re just going through the motions. You have the responsibilities; it’s a lot of, like, ticking the boxes, right?”
He added, “We obviously have the camaraderie, the comfort of, like, ‘You’re not going anywhere,’ and so sometimes you don’t treat those people the best, right?’ You don’t consider their feelings the way you would other people’s. So that’s something I think is a constant to work on.”
At the time, Alba admitted that Warren sometimes got the “short end of the stick” when it came to her time, which they tried to avoid.
“The second one of you gets checked, then it’s a one-sided relationship,” Alba said. “Because you’re not always going to be on the same page, and you’re not always going to grow at the same pace.”
Last year, Warren proposed Us a glimpse of their relationship.
“Unplugging is big. We love to go for walks. We love to chat. We love to eat good food together. We have so many of the same interests that we enjoy,” she said say Us only in July 2024. “We are also still willing to participate. Jessica is on an incredible spiritual journey right now. I will do sound baths with her. I will learn about crystals. I will read my charts. I learn about it alongside her and she always opens me up to new things.”
