Anduril to build his billion-dollar weapons megafactory in Ohio

On Thursday Anduril announced that it is building its massive weapons factory, Arsenal-1, in Columbus, Ohioconfirming TechCrunch’s previous report. In a blog postThe company said that it will invest close to $1 billion of its money in the project and that the factory will be five million square meters. The post also claims it will bring 4,000 jobs to the area.

The factory is a huge step for the start of defense technology, founded by Palmer Luckey, Trae Stephens and otherswhich allows to scale the production of its autonomous systems for surveillance and weapons.

Part of Ohio’s appeal was its proximity to Rickenbacker Airport, where the company would have access to 12,000-foot runways, as well as extensive land, as the company would have 500 acres nearby for potential expansion, he said.
