Former Indian selector Kris Srikkanth has launched a forceful attack on Pakistan’s national team and his main coach Mike Hesson ahead of Super Four’s long -awaited clash in the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday, September 21 in Dubai.
Surprisingly, Srikkanth compared Pakistan to a seventh division in a local Chennai league, as he emphasized his poor performance against India in the group game last week. Above all, Pakistan struggled to combine the intensity of India both in whip and bowling, with Suryakumar Yadav leading the men in blue to a victory of September seven on September 14.
The Pakistani cricket team led by Salman Ali Agha could not fight India. Srikkanth also addressed coach Mike Hesson for his pre-party statements, suggesting that Pakistan would not win with him at the helm. The ancient Indian icon even predicted that Pakistan could not even give Mike Hesson.

The winner of the 1983 World Cup has argued that green men should be fortunate only to play in a tournament in this stature, given their recent fall in important ICC events, including the World Cup 2023, the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Kris Srikkanth said in a video on his YouTube channel: “It’s an important thing for them that they are even allowed to play in such a prestigious tournament. Mike Hesson will return tomorrow with their statements about how they are a very good team and were not unpleasant in the last game against India. You will not go anywhere with Mike Hesson as coach.”
Srikkanth stated that Pakistan no longer is a real threat to India and that the famous Rivalry of India-Pakistan fades. He suggested that Pakistan should move to the level of associated nations and that future encounters with India will no longer attract the massive crowds they made before.
He noted, “They should not play with the main teams. Make them between the associated nations and take some of the others. Pakistan should be retired from the top seven. From there, India-Pakistan matches did not attract crowds. India-Pakistan rivalry has become history. Chennai League. ”

Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) appointed Andy Pycroft as a match referee for the Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan at the International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, September 21.
This decision occurs a few days after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) raised concern about Pycroft’s behavior during the group in the group’s phase between the two parts of September 14.
Despite the controversy, the ICC has shown full confidence in Pycroft, giving it one of the largest games in the tournament.
While India enters the clash as an unbeaten side, Pakistan won two tight games against the United Arab Emirates and Oman to reach the Super 4 of the Asia Cup in current 2025.
