NADA TAWFIK BBC on the key departure from Tyler Robinson’s first performance

The cohabitant of the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s murder had one question.

“Why?”

“I had enough hatred,” Tyler Robinson wrote. “Some hatred cannot be negotiated.”

On Tuesday, the authorities published reports between Robinson and the roommate from hours after shooting. Officials said the unnamed roommate was a “biological man” who moved from a man to a woman and was in a romantic relationship with the defendant.

The prosecutor’s office also provided more information that could indicate a possible motive – although there is much more that is unknown.

According to the prosecution, Robinson’s mother told police that in the last year Robinson has become more political and left, “more pro-gay and focused on legal rights.”

And in family conversations, Robinson allegedly accused Kirk of spreading hatred.

Prosecutors say Robinson left a message to his roommate: “I had the opportunity to withdraw Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”

During a press conference on Tuesday, Utah County Prosecutor Jeff Gray said that instead of deleting messages, as Robinson asked, a roommate provided police.

Messages on the shells

Messages and interviews with family members make up important parts of the prosecution against Robinson and give some understanding of his state of soul.

In addition, investigators also stated that four shells were found near a rifle detected in the forest area near the University of Utah.

In the sinks, reports were engraved, which before Robinson’s arrest was one of the united potential hints regarding the killer’s motive – and was the subject of numerous speculation.

In one of the inconspicuous tours were the words “hey fascist!” Together with up, right and three shots down – mainly a video game link, Helldivers 2, which testifies to one of the special steps of the game.

Another corps of the shell, the authorities say, read: “Ap:” Acup “, what is it?” – Link to meme about fluffy subcultures and role -playing on the Internet.

The BBC also has an online profile that allegedly belonged to Robinson on a furry fandy website, believing that he may be interested in the matter.

Another corps was inscribed by the lyrics of Bella Ciao, which honors the guerrillas of the two era of World War Ialian resistance, which fought with Nazi Germany. The song also appeared in a video game, a series and has been weakened and remix many times over the years.

The fourth cartridge read: “If you read it, you gay lmao” – another internet.

But the exact value of the messages, if they really mean some meaning outside the mischief, is still unclear. The nature of the Internet with its layers on the layers of irony means that several interpretations are possible.

In the reports to his roommate Robinson stated that the engravings were “mostly a great meme”, which indicates that they cannot be taken as a serious statement.

Photos of accounting accounts on social media, apparently belonging to Robinson and his roommate distributed on the Internet, is mainly focused on the games – it turns out that Robinson, and his roommate were sharp videos by gamers.

Accounts really include several scattered comments on politics, none of them particularly convincing or indicating the motives. The BBC considered the accounts but failed to confirm that they belonged to the couple.

According to reports published by the prosecutor’s office, when asked by his roommate how long he took to plan the attack, Robinson replied: “A little more than a week.”

What do we don’t know?

The prosecutor’s office in Uuta largely refused to answer the media on Tuesday, and although Spencer Cox said the Governor that Robinson had a “left ideology”, there were still gaps in what we know about a possible motive.

For example, it is unclear what Robinson considered the poking. It is also unclear how Robinson could be radicalized and what role his online activity was in this process.

The authorities were dense in what role – if it is – the suspect’s policy plays in the attack.

When Guya, the district prosecutor, directly asked if the transgender activity of the shooting was inspired, he refused to comment.

It is also likely that the suspect may have not been agreed. In a number of recent attempts by mass shootings and murders in the US – including an attempt at Donald Trump in Pennsylvania last July, the killers seemed to move to a set of political beliefs, or ideology was not determined.

Recently, the FBI has recognized a new category of threats called nihilistic violent extremism or NVE, determined by the general hostility to society and the pursuit of chaos rather than a sharply defined ideology.

The Director of the FBI Podel said in the Senate on Tuesday that his agency had seen a large basis in cases related to Nve.

In the case of Kirk Catherine Schweit, a former FBI agent and prosecutor, said the investigators would be engaged in the tracking of Robinson’s online communication and interaction with friends and family members to get additional information.

“It gives us a lot of understanding someone’s way to violence,” she said, adding that the agents will collect them all together to learn how someone is moving on the way from frustration, to the choice to commit a tough act. “

The prospect of a major punishment means that the prosecutor’s office will have to show the intention to commit the murder if they will start their case in court. However, Schweit says it is different from the motivation that may be, and may not be directly related to the case.

“Television and movies taught us that motif is the most important thing, but in terms of persecution it is not so.”

Schweitt also noted that some high -profile killers were motivated by the desire to be known or hit people.

Guerrilla fuel activists speculation

During the Senate hearings on Tuesday, FBI director also said that others were investigating about the possible participation in the shooting.

So far, no one has been charged with the case, and investigators have not noted that anyone else participated.

This did not stop the fever – and for the most part it did not appear – speculation on the Internet about alleged motives and large -scale areas.

A number of right -wing influences with the enormous subsequent social media, including several, who are close to the President of Trump and the rotary organization of the US Kirk, claim that the shooting was the work of the group or the “terrorist cell” inspired by transgender activity and is funded by left -wing activists.

This week, Trump said he would prescribe an antih as a “major terrorist organization” as part of his efforts to target the “radical left” after Kirk’s murder. Robinson’s suspect was not directly related to antifa, decentralized, left movement that opposes extreme, racist and fascist groups.

Some high -profile right podcasts, including former Trump chief advisor Steve Benan, suggested that text messages exchanged by Robinson and his room neighbor, somehow fake or false, referring to – again without evidence – a broader conspiracy.

At the same time, a number of left -wing social media users continue to claim that Robinson is a supporter of Trump or a member of a fringe, a right group known as a “Groeper”, which consistently Castigated Kirk for not supporting his white nationalist and anti -Semitic beliefs.

These claims also have no evidence, and Utah’s prosecutor’s office and officials do not indicate that the right groups are involved.

“Everyone jumps up to the conclusions because it is the society in which we live,” said Schweit, a former FBI agent. “Everyone wants the answer – and now.”
