British singer Joss stone Had a pretty recent conversation opening with Prince Harry – and hope the Duke of Sussex returns to the UK
“He said how amazing these schools are and how important a community is for children,” stone, 38, told Hi! Journal for meeting Harry, 41, in the Wellchild rewards in London earlier this month.
Stone said “It was nice to share that moment with Harry because it was about her own family’s journey.
“Exactly why we felt we were being withdrawn to come back – for the children to grow up surrounded by family, friends and a strong sense of belonging and most importantly in a safe environment,” he continued.
Stone shares four children – daughter of Violet, 4, son of Shackleton, 2, son of Bear, adopted in December 2024, and his daughter Nalima, 3 months – with her American husband Cody payz. They recently moved to the UK from the United States.
“He joked about me to have four children, saying he was ‘two too many,'” Stone also shared Harry, revealing he met her youngest daughter. “Or maybe it wasn’t a joke!”
He continued, “He also asked how we settled back in and had a real interest in moving us home. He is very warm and down to the ground, as always.”
Stone was wondering if “Harry will move back home too” in the near future. “That would be nice,” he added.
Harry and his wife Meghan Markle Relocated from the UK to the United States in 2020 after stepping back from their roles like High Royals working. (The couple shares two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.)
After Harry lost his appeal for government -funded security in the UK earlier this year, the Duke of Sussex spoke honestly about the possibility of ever returning home.
“I can’t see a world where I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point,” he said in a May interview BBC. “I love my country, I have always done, despite what some people in that country have done.”
He noted that it was “pretty sad” that his children could no longer come to the UK.
Despite his past comments, Harry returned earlier this month to attend the Wellchild Awards. The Duke also made headlines for sitting down surprise with his father, King Charles IIIon September 10. Their private meeting was the first time they had seen each other in nearly two years.
“The focus must actually be on my dad,” said Harry The guardian on Sunday, September 14, confirming that “Spend more time in the UK” In the coming months. Harry also noted that the meeting with Charles, 76, had “definitely” changed his views on bringing his children back home.
