The wolves have achieved the future of striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, who has signed a new contract by maintaining Molineux until 2030, with the option for another year.
The extension comes a few months after the Norway International made its Celta Vigo’s permanent movement, after a productive loan spell on which it scored 14 goals.
Its shape was enough to attract a significant interest in summer, and wolves rejected £ 50 million offers and 55 million pounds from Newcastle United.
Manager Vítor Pereira greeted the news as an important boost for the club.
“It is very important: if we want to increase our level, if we want to take others a step to another level, we need this type of player.
“It’s not only tactical and technical, it is spirit and personality. It’s very important to us and it’s good news for us.”
Wolves paid £ 23 million to sign the striker directly after their loan success, which helped the team to avoid relegation, finishing 16th in the Premier League campaign last season.
Although he has not yet participated in the league this term due to a Achilles problem, the 25 -year -old marked twice in the EFL Cup victory over West Ham before being marked.
His return is expected with wolves, still without winning and the bottom of the table after four consecutive defeats, prepare -to face Leeds in Molineux this weekend.
Strand Larsen’s commitment occurs at the back of Pereira, who also wrote a new three -year agreement on Thursday.
The striker had been in talks with the club since the summer, and his manager believes that the agreement comes at the perfect time.
“Football is not an insurance, this is confidence, hard work, day by day. This is a work, character and commitment.
“If you are here and see the job every day, you can value someone’s work.”
