Tung, 22, and Han, 45, opened for each Belly after the show’s season 3 finale, broadcast on Wednesday, September 17, on Amazon Prime Video.
“I was excited when I learned that belly had bob,” said Tung, who plays belly, Fashionable. “It’s nice to see her make that decision for herself, almost as physical representation of the growth and change she has experienced.
Tung added that the cut symbolically for belly because of her ex-fathers on the show, Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno), told her for “never” to cut her hair earlier in the season. “I think it made this decision feel free, like a fresh start,” said Tung.

Belly got her hair cut while living in Paris after calling her marriage to Jeremiah. Seconds after her salon appointment, she reunited with Conrad Fisher (Chris Brinley), Jeremiah’s brother and her first boyfriend.

Eddy Chen/AmazonHe added, “I think women often cut their hair after breaking down or when they want to drop old bags and signal for people they are ready to change. The idea is that if you look different, then you can feel different.”
To create every Belly, Han used himself as a guinea pig to make sure the look would be perfect on Tung.
“I went in hidden and cut my hair, (in Paris),” remembered Han. “I have very thick hair, so if (the hairdryer) can do my hair, then can make hair (Lola).”

Han admitted that she was “extremely nervous” about how the finished look would turn out. “Obviously, when you cut it, you’re not going to know for sure how it will look until you see it,” he noted.

Following the end of season 3, where – a ruined – belly and conrad warning came back together, Prime Video announced that film In the works that will follow the characters in the next chapter of their lives.
“There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought it could only give her a film,” Han explained in a statement.
