The designer said she hoped that “all powerful women” wanted to be seen as pieces of her collection. “I want women in politics. I want doctors, I want lawyers. It’s not just about actresses and influencers. For me, it’s really about women who represent America (a) American culture.”
Bendet added that it focuses on updating “traditional American sports vessels” for the line, revitalizing vintage styles with its own personal touch. He designed a “trench coat, but the entire bottom is organza,” smart fabric. “Or off cargo, but it’s steep.”
“I wanted to do something that reflected on culture and even industry over time,” he explained to us.
Bendet also explained that she and her friend Lauren sánchezwho recently tied the knot Jeff Bezos In June, he agreed that the Vogue Vintage photography session needed to re -create models where models pose in a gilded age room.
“I was staring at this set, trying to find out what to create in the records hall under the stairs,” he said .. “And when I saw that image, it was this magical moment. I was like, ‘Are you reading my mind?’ We re -created the set.

“My oldest daughter would be wearing riding clothes only,” said Bendet. “We posted a funny video of her trying to walk in heels. She’s stunningly beautiful, but I think she’s so charming that she was walking like she was on a horse.”
