After his exclusion, the Pakistani could not contain his emotions and expressed his outburst during the live interview where he criticized Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen for not supporting him and said that he will never play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). ).
However, days after the 2025 PSL Draft, Ihsanullah took a surprising turn when he started singing praises for the Multan Sultans owner after the franchise gave him a much-needed opportunity. The right-arm pacer will represent JDW in the upcoming second grade President’s Cup tournament.
On Wednesday, January 15, Ali Tareen contacted Ihsanullah and offered him this opportunity. Multan Sultans have shown unwavering support to the talented bowler, allowing him to play with their departmental team JDW in the President’s Cup Grade Two tournament in April-May.
With this partnership, the Pakistan bowler would be able to use the state-of-the-art facilities at Multan Sultans, helping him to regain form and fitness ahead of the domestic tournament in order to get him back in the next season of the Pakistan Super. League (PSL).
Under the expert guidance of fast bowling coach Catherine Dalton, Ihsanullah will train at the Multan Sultans Academy in Lodhran. After getting extended support from the PSL franchise, the bowler expressed his gratitude to the owner Ali Tareen and the team.
Geo Super TV quoted the pacer as saying, “Multiple Sultans have always supported me and I am grateful for their continuous support.”
Meanwhile, Tareen highlighted Ihsanullah’s immense value to both the Multan Sultans and the country and promised that the PSL franchise is fully committed to helping him regain his form and fitness.
The franchise owner also praised the young pacer’s rare talent, saying that fast bowlers like Ihsanullah are a once-in-a-generation find and will help him develop into a world-class player.
Ali Tareen stated, “Ihsanullah is an asset to us and this country. We will provide him all possible support to restore his full fitness and form. Fast bowlers like Ihsanullah are born once in a generation. He needs protection and the Multan Sultans are committed to helping the PCB nurture and develop world-class talent.”
On the other hand, the Pakistani reversed his decision to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League within 24 hours, saying that he made this statement out of emotions.
He stated, “You know the franchises didn’t pick me, and I was upset by the masses and my family, so that’s why I made the decision emotionally. I wouldn’t make that decision again.”
