Cam Newton Explains Special Forces and Kayla Nicole’s Fate

It turns out Special Forces costars Kayla Nicole a Cam Newton crossing paths (at least more or less) before their time in Wales.

Back in April 2022, the quarterback, now 35, raised eyebrows for his comments about women during an appearance on the “Million Dollars Worth of Game” Podcast.

“Now a woman, to me, treats yours but knows how to cater to a man’s needs. Right?” Newton said. “And I think many times when you get that aesthetic of like, ‘I’m a whore boss, this is me, I’m that.’ No, baby! You don’t know when to be quiet. You don’t know how to let a man lead.”

Nicole, who was dating Travis Kelce at the time, he took to Twitter (now known as X) to address the comments.

“The obsession with women being able to cook is really funny. Because it’s as if your palate is so much better a Michelin star chef then a bozo. It is quite certain that the average woman can make edible food. How do you think she survived this far?” the influencer tweeted.

Nicole added in a second post: “It’s not really about being able to cook – it’s more like wanting to cook for your hungry hippo ass.”

Nicole further addressed the situation via Instagram Live, which was captured by TMZ Sports: “I think it’s silly that we have to keep having the same tired conversation about the qualities that make a woman of substance. This man said you need to be able to cook and be quiet because that’s what his mother did. Like a boy, go to your mama then.”

The following day, Nicole clarified her statements.

“I have no ‘beef’ with anyone. I have a beef with the idea that reduces a woman’s worth to what is put on a dinner plate,” she wrote. “This narrative was shared publicly on a podcast, it’s important that it be publicly denied. Now if you’ll all excuse me, go order postmates.”

Although Newton did not address Nicole directly, he claimed he was unfairly “scrutinized” at the time.

“You can’t expect so much from a person and give so little. … I should have said on top of what I said as well and mentioned that not only should a woman know when to be quiet, a man should also know when to be quiet,” Newton said in a YouTube video. “Whatever you need to be as a human being – man or woman – you should be. And I think not going as deep as I should have cost me.”

“I had girls,” he continued. “When the day comes when my daughters look back and say, ‘Damn dad, what did you really mean by that,’ I’m not going to push away and say, ‘Well, that has been thrown out of context.’”

Newton has eight children, including three daughters, with several different women. Most recently, he and his girlfriend Jasmine Brown welcome a baby girl in 2024.

Meanwhile, Nicole and Kelce were over for good in 2022 after dating on and off for five years. He started dating Taylor Swift in the summer of 2023. Ar Special ForcesNicole has spoken about the backlash she has received from Swift’s fans, but she also praises the Grammy winner.

“I really like, like her,” Nicole said in episode two, referring to Swift. “I think she’s very talented.”
