Turki Alshikh has revealed today that he met with the Superstrella Canelo Alvarez, confirming with him that he still has two fights in his contract with the Riyadh season. He offered Canelo to work with him until he retires.
The remaining two fights that Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 kos) have in his contract with the Riyadh season are expected to occur in May and in September 2026. No opponent has been mentioned. Ideally, the 35 -year -old Canelo is the needy fighters who are aggressive, presented and do not move around the ring.
In the loss of unanimous decisions at Terence Crawford de Canelo at Terence Crawford last Saturday night at Las Vegas Allegiating Stadium, he struggled to cut off the ring. Crawford would land and then take off. It was the same style that William Scull used Canelo on May 3, but with a little more offense and less power.
If Canelo wins his two next fights in 2026, he may choose to continue his career until 2027. It will depend on many things. It must be equalized with the right type of fighters to win next year. It would be the same with Crawford aging.
If Turki pushed Crawford hard to fight David Benavidez or Dmitry Bivol, he would probably lose both. It would be what would be unhappy, but richer. Crawford has already ruled out fighting in Benavidez today.
In the case of Canelo, he chose not to say no to Turki, although it was a bad style for him to fight against the Mover Crawford. Not only that. He put Alvarez in a position where he would be humiliated if he lost, and that’s what happened. He still chose to fight with Crawford, but was a high cost, with his naked dignity.
I just visited the champion in place. He will start his vacation with his family soon. He has 2 fights left @Ranhsasonon The ’26. We offered to work with us until we leave and retire. I want to go to give a special thank you @Canelo For the special gift. Gave me the … pic.twitter.com/7vqrz3deoi
