‘Lies to the Nation’: Trump Orbit Slams Biden for Taking Credit for Ceasefire Agreement

President Biden is ending his tenure at the White House on a “sad” note after he “lied to the nation” and took credit for the Israel-Hamas ceasefire during his farewell address Wednesday night. This was stated by the official representative of Trump.

“Joe Biden comes out sad. Lying to the nation while trying to take credit for the deal that all parties deserve by President Trump. Biden had more than a year to secure the release of these hostages and peace. He failed. Trump made it,” a Trump transition official said Wednesday night on Fox News Digital.

War has been raging in the Middle East since October 2023, with Israel and Hamas agreeing to a ceasefire on Wednesday that also secured the release of hostages.

Biden delivered his final address to the nation on Wednesday night, where he took a victory lap for the ceasefire in his opening remarks.

“My fellow Americans, I am addressing you tonight from the Oval Office. Before I begin, let me talk about the big news today. After eight months of continuous negotiations, my administration—by my administration—ceased the fire and Israel and Hamas entered into a hostage agreement that I laid out in great detail in May of this year.” – said Biden.
