Written by Decline creator Julian Fellows. The gilded age Another ensemble play follows a rich family – but this one takes place in New York City in the 1880s. Fellows have suggested that some Decline Characters (younger versions are most likely from those we know) could even appear in the seasons of the future of this commendable play, which stars Nixon’s CynthiaCarrie Coon, Louisa Jacobson, Tissa Farmiga and more.

‘Jane Eyre’ (2011)

This adaptation of the literary classical stars Mia wasikowska as the eponymous orphan, which becomes governance in the rich and mysterious household of Mr Edward Rochester (Michael Fassbender).

Deal with some of the same themes of class difference and forbidden love, Jane Eyre occurs in an earlier historical period (the 1810s), but includes a stunning costume and melodrama design. Wasikowska’s portrayal of Jane’s quiet dignity is perfect over, making this film one of our favorite literary adaptations.

‘Upstairs downstairs’ (1971-1975)

Without this series, Downton Abbey It would probably never have existed – the 1970s British drama set the standard for drama about rich families and the workers who serve them.
