The Nigerian Chef and the Former Guinness Black Beautry see seeing the largest pot of Jollof Rice, a popular Western African dish.
Thousands of people gathered in Lagos to look at the latest application for a worldwide food record, after holding the title of 2023 for the longest culinary marathon – exhausted 93 hours 11 minutes – almost four days.
Its giant Jollof rice recipe included 4000 kg (8,800 pounds) rice, 500 tomato paste cardboard boxes and 600 kg onions – all poured into a pot of almost 23,000 liters.
It took a few hours to prepare and should now be checked by a global Guinness record with photos and videos of achievement.
28 -year -old see said BBC Pidgin that she took one year to schedule how she would decide a mammoth call.
“We are a giant of Africa, and Jolof is a food for which everyone knows Africans,” she said.
“It would make sense if we had the largest pot of Jollof rice would be good for the country.”
The production of giant steel utensils to hold the dish required a culinary team of 300 people to make two months.
Working with a group of assistants who have massive wooden spatulas, the later dish was spread to everyone to enjoy everyone.
Rice Jollof is the main product of Nigerian cuisine, which presents rice covered in tomato sauce, often paired with meat or seafood.
Hilda saw the competition for her version of Jolof Rice in 2021, and then became a national sensation in 2023 when she declared a culinary marathon.
