Suspected killer Charlie Kirk arrested after recognizing his parents

A 22-year-old state resident was arrested for murdering right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead during a scene at a university event this week.

Tyler Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday after the 33-hour set that ended after his father helped convince him to surrender to the police.

His arrest was first announced by President Donald Trump, who called on the suspect to face the death penalty.

Kirk’s murder, which was shot dead during the discussion of students on Wednesday, shocked Americans and laid sharp guerrilla political divisions of the country.

At a press conference on Friday, investigators said the suspect had confessed his father and said he would rather take his own life than surrender. The father then called the youth pastor who is a family member.

State prosecutors said they plan to charge Robinson’s official charges on Tuesday.
