The long -awaited confrontation of India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 is not to create the usual buzz, and the former Indian Cricter and commentator Aakash Chopra has blamed Kohli and Rohit Sharma. India is scheduled to block the horns against Pakistan on September 14 in Dubai.
But some reports said that the entries for this long -awaited shock of India and Pakistan are not yet sold. Although many considered that the ticket price was the reason for the lack of interest among fans, Chopra believes that the absence of Rohit Sharma and virat Kohli affects ticket sales.
The two players are huge attractions for the fans and their absence has felt in the 2025 in progress. Above all, Kohli and Rohit Sharma have already withdrawn from Cricket T20I after winning the ICC T20 World 2024 and Test Cricket, early this year.

Chopra explained that Kohli and Rohit are unmatched when throwing crowds. The ex -bat de India recalled how, even when the former Indian Captain played in a Ranji trophy match for Delhi, the fans went to the Arun Jaitley stadium in large numbers earlier this year.
Aakash Chopra said in his latest video uploaded to his YouTube channel on September 12: “When Virat Kohli went to play a Ranji trophy game, even the stadium was almost filled. His absence is one of the main reasons why he does not fill.”
Despite the parties involved in India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the Cup of Asia 2025 in progress, no stadium has reached all the capacity and Chopra blamed the absence of the multitude of lungs, saying that fans lost their motivation to see the tournament.
The commentator also said that if Kohli and Rohit Sharma were playing, attendance could be easily doubled or even tripled in the Asia Cup continuing 2025 to the United Arab Emirates.
Chopra signed, saying, “If they were present, participation could have been double. Hypothetically, if 5,000 people arrived earlier, at least 10,000 to 15,000 would have come to see if Rohit and Kohli were there. They rarely have the opportunity to see them in person, so their absence is important.”
Even Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has reduced ticket prices to attract more fans to the stadium. Standard tickets, which were originally 475 dirhams (around € 11,420), have now been reduced to 350 dirhams (around € 8,415). On Sunday, almost 50 percent of the seats are available for the India and Pakistan match.

The accumulation of the India and Pakistan party in the Asia Cup 2025 has been full of drama and controversy. Political tensions after Pahalgam’s attack have caused the calls for the game’s boycott, with a request for the urgent intervention of the denied Supreme Court.
Adding fuel to the fire, the Indian Premier League Franchise (IPL) Punjab Kings (PBKs) avoided calling Pakistan in his party announcement on social media, causing massive outrage. The reactions of the fan were so intense that the comments had to turn off their X.
