Ukraine launches a large -scale drone attack on Russia as two killed in Sami

Russia states that this has shot down 221 Ukrainian drones launched on its territory in one night, in one of the largest air attacks since May.

More than half of the drones were intercepted over the regions of Braian and Smolensk, in the southwest of Moscow, where they were reportedly aimed at the Lukoyl premises, the Ministry of Defense reports.

Authorities in the region of Leningrad said 28 drones were beaten, and that the fire crashed on the vessel at the Baltic Portora, the largest oil terminal in Russia. They added that Blaze was extinguished without sacrifices and leaks.

Meanwhile, officials said two civilians were killed in the Sumi of Ukraine when the Russian bomb struck the village near the border.

At least nine other regions of Russia, including Kaluga, Novgorod and Moscow district, were reported, where nine drones are said to be destroyed. The bummer was recorded in several areas, although Russian officials insisted that there were no victims.

Seven people, including five civilians and two military personnel, were injured when the drone hit a bus in Braiansk, said the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz.

Moscow figures that the BBC failed to check on their own, assuming that the attack on Thursday night was one of the largest Ukrainian air bombings in four months.

Russia stated that on May 7 it destroyed a record 524 drone. For comparison, Ukrainian officials said Russia has launched 818 drones in the territory in recent weeks.

The air attack is described as one of the most significant for the Leningrad region after Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine three and a half years ago. The attack saw surgery at the St. Petersburg Pulkov airport was temporarily suspended.

Cross -border drones are becoming an increasingly noticeable feature of the war. In July, a stable Ukrainian attack drone forced Temporary closure of all Moscow airports.

In recent months, Ukrainian strikes have reached deeper into the Russian territory, striking refineries, fuel depot and logistics hubs hundreds of miles from the lines.

Moscow has strengthened its missile and unmanned attacks on Ukrainian cities and energy premises during the summer when efforts led by the United States were lingering.
