NATO participants send troops, artillery and air defense systems to provide their eastern flank after Poland called an unprecedented invasion of a Russian drone into the airspace.
In the first hours of Wednesday, three Russian drones were beaten after crossing the Polish airspace.
Other drones crashed to the ground and later found in eastern Poland.
Poland demanded that the UN Security Council on the incident, which will take place on Friday at 19:00 GMT.
In response to the invasion of the drone, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, they would send protection to Poland, while Lithuania will receive a German brigade and a greater warning about Russian attacks on Ukraine that could pass.
Speaking to Parliament on Thursday, the Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz listed proposals for supporting Polish partners, saying that the Dutch was going to deploy air defense systems, artillery and 300 troops, while the Czech will send helicopters and 100 soldiers.
He also said that the French and the British could deploy planes to provide NATO’s eastern flank.
“Poland has repeatedly heard the words of solidarity and empty gestures throughout the history,” Kosiniac-Kamysh said. “Today we have specific declarations.”
Despite the fact that Russian drones and missiles have previously entered some NATO member countries, it was the most serious incident of Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The Kremlin said he had no comments to say that Russia intentionally sought to hide tensions in Poland.
However, many Polish and European leaders believe the invasion was intentional.
“This Russian provocation …” This is nothing more than an attempt to test its opportunities, “said Polish President King Navaroki, sounding comments from his German and French counterparts.
However, the experts are divided into whether Moscow intends to launch drones in Poland.
On Thursday, NATO Military Commander Alyakseus Grinkiewicz acknowledged that it was still unknown whether this act was intentional, and even said the exact number of drones who went into the Polish airspace still had to be determined.
But before increasing nervousness from countries bordering Russia, nor NATO, nor Poland risk.
General Grinkiewicz said Lithuania would provide a greater warning about Russian airports against Ukraine, which risks moving to Lithuania, as well as a German brigade that will act as deterrence and defense.
Warsaw will establish restrictions on drones and a small air movement across the eastern borders from Belarus and Ukraine, and Latvia has announced that the eastern air space will be closed within a week.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky suggested providing recommendations and training of Western military representatives on how to fight off Russian air attacks, how Ukrainian defense forces do.
Zelensky also called on a joint air defense system to act as an air shield over Europe as a response to a “brazen” Russian behavior.
In some quarters of Eastern Europe, anxiety is the main joint military exercises between Belarus and Russia, called the West 2025, should begin on Friday.
Poland stated that it would close its border from Belarus on Thursday “for national security reasons … in connection with the West” maneuvers, which it called “very aggressive.”
Previous ZAPAD seeders were delivered a few months before the war in Ukraine and participated in a total of about 200,000 troops.
According to the head of the Lithuanian military intelligence Mindaugas Mazonas, the exercise will be less and provides up to 30,000 troops.
US President Donald Trump’s response to the drone’s invasion has been muted. “What about Russia, which violates Poland’s air space with drones?
The President of the Polish Novaroka stated that he and his American colleague acted as a “part of a number of consultations” with the Allies and stated that the talks “confirmed our unity”.
