RTE will not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, when Israel’s participation is going forward, “the Irish TV presenter announced.
A statement of RTé states that Ireland’s participation in the event “will be unreasonable, given the constant and terrible loss of life in the newspaper.”
Ireland won the competition seven times in 1996.
RTE will make a final decision if the European Union of Broadcasting makes its decision.
