India’s decision to leave Arshdeep Singh out of interpretation XI in its Asia Cup Worker 2025 has lit a debate storm between Cricket experts and former Cricters.
Despite being one of the most dangerous T20 mushrooms in India, Arshdeep Singh was left out when India opted for a single Pealer, Jasprit Bumrah, who had his support for Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube.
Surprisingly, they went with three spinners, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy, until they beat up number 8. The move paid when India threw the Arab emirates united by nine wicks, but Arshdeep Singh’s exclusion was not good with many.

Recently, Murali Kartik could not hide his disappointment, as he pointed out the bewilderment that it was that such a promising ballist, known for his rhythm and swing, was overlooked not only in this party of the Asia Cup 2025, but also in the recent series of tests in England, where the conditions were called at pace.
Murali Kartik told Cricbuzz: “The only way I am trying to think about this team is, there is some way to adjust to Arshdeep Singh? It’s too good to miss. Been out enough outside. I thought I would go to play because he was one of the elderly of T20is wick. This has not happened today. I just hope it does not occur in the reserves when it turns well. “”
Kartik offered a daring suggestion to leave Shivam Dube of Interpretation XI. With the capabilities of all the round of Axar Patel, India could afford to lose a batter and give space to Arshdeep. He argued that a more balanced alignment with a strong bowling attack could serve India a better combination.
The old Indian cricket further explained, “I’m going to remove Shivam Dube. Because Axar Patel gives you both. It can be the float. Can touch the big shots. Axar can also play against sewing bowling. “”
If you keep Shivam Dube just to play spinners, I think maybe it will be wasted. If I can find Arshdeep, and maybe a lesser, the responsibility increases and you have a quality bowling attack that is well rounded. “”

Harsha Bhogle also shared his thoughts on the debate. He called into question the logic of having a deep battle at the expense of bowling, hinting that the team’s approach could be cloudy by convention instead of performance. Bhogle Felt Shivam Dube could give way to Arshdeep.
Bhogle also acknowledged that Axar’s presence is vital for any Spin attack. But he also warned that Arshdeep’s talent should not miss, urging selectors to rethink their strategies before it is too late, as they are preparing for the next ICC T20 2026 World Cup.
Harsha Bhogle said, “My opinion is that Axar Patel enters each day. Also, if you are focusing on spin, you also want their super points.
He suggested that India had to go with seven battle options, but Suryakumar Yadav and Gautam Gambhir want to beat up to number 8. Bhogle signed saying, “So, my fear is that Arshdeep will be in the strip.”
