Despite 17-6 to start the fourth quarter, the Vikings of Minnesota beat Chicago Beaars 21-7 in the last 15 minutes of the game tonight to spoil Ben Johnson’s debut, 27-24.
Minnesota Quarterback, JJ McCarthy, was able to overcome a terrible start by throwing 87 yards and recording three total touchdowns in the fourth quarter of this game. It ended with 13 by 20 with 143 passing gardens, two passing touchdowns, 25 current gardens, a td of land and an interception.
It was an evening up for the Baars quarterback, Caleb Williams. In his first game under Ben Johnson, Williams completed 21 of 35 passes by 211 yards, a passing TD, 58 current Yards and a running touchdown.
The breach of newly appeared bears began quickly. After forcing a three and three, Chicago gathered a 61 -gardens game of ten games that was capable with a nine -gardens’ touchdown for Caleb Williams, the first TD to advance his NFL career. This was a new experience for the second year QB, as Chicago did not have a unique opening touch last year.
The time of JJ McCarthy did not reach the same type of start as the time of Ben Johnson. The Vikings punched their first two possessions after McCarthy put sacks in the low third.
Finally, Minnesota achieved something thanks to an interference penalty of 42 gardens in the bears. However, their unit stayed in the red area, so they had to kick a field goal, which won 7-3 in the second quarter.
Both the bears and the Vikings managed to mount the goal units before the break, so Chicago passed in the middle of 10-6. Outside of the first offensive possession of the Baars, these teams combined for only 194 yards of offense until the first two quarters of the game.
The offensive struggles continued until the second half when the bears passed three and out of their first driving. At the other end, JJ McCarthy launched an interception that was returned to 74 yards by a touch to put Chicago for 17-6. This interception was returned by the Cornerback Nahshon Wright, who was a member of the Viking Practice Enterprise last season.
A series of incredibly promising bears that reached the line of 24 Minnesota gardens was derailed by a large number of penalties. The flags for the ground and the grounding forced Chicago to settle for a gain of 12 gardens in a 3rd and 30, which finally caused a lost field goal to start the fourth quarter.
This young lady caused a new life to the Vikings. Justin Jefferson of Minnesota All-Pro grabbed a pass of 13 gardens in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Vivic to reduce the score of 17-12. That TD pass was the first third conversion of Minnesota’s night. Until that time, 0/8 had passed in the attempts of Third.
In the next possession of Minnesota, Aaron Jones made a fantastic capture of 27 gardens to give the Vikings the first leadership of the night, 20-17, after a successful two-point conversion. He finished the game with 67 yards and a reception touch.
After forcing a fast and outside, the Vikings gathered a 61 -gardens game of nine games that shaved a little more than four and a half minutes from the clock. This series ended with a 14-gardens directed by JJ McCarthy to expand the Minnesota leadership to 27-17.
Chicago bounced again. Caleb Williams found a large receiver Rome Odunze open at the back of the final area for a Touchdown reception of a garden to close the gap and make it 27-24 with 2:02 on the left.
The Vikings went to three and out of the next driving, but they could climb the clock to only 16 seconds in the fourth quarter. Although the bears recovered the ball, they did not have enough time to make nothing happened, as Minnesota would remain firm to get the victory.
