from Sharjah Warriors express pace Adam Milne produced a fire spell at the International League (IL) T20 2025dismantling the higher order of the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders with two impressive deliveries.
Milne’s brilliance began with the dismissal of Phil Salt in the third plus. Milne bowled a slightly fuller ball that spun sharply onto the stumps. Salt, attempting an expansive drive through the covers, failed to account for the inswinger. A significant gap between bat and pad allowed the ball to hit the stumps, leaving him bowled for 2 off 7 balls, with a strike rate of 28.57.
Milne continued his onslaught just three deliveries later, this time sending Kyle Mayers back to the pavilion with an absolute class delivery. A full, over-field ball angled to middle leg and shaped late with exquisite seam movement. Mayers, in brilliant form with a brisk 21 off 9 balls (2 fours and 2 sixes, SR 233.33), misjudged the line, playing to mid-wicket. The ball beat his bat and obliterated the off stump, leaving the Knight Riders reeling at 26/2.
Milne’s spell was a masterclass in swing bowling, showcasing pace, accuracy and control. His figures of 1.5 overs, 2 wickets for just 9 runs, underlined his dominance in the game. These early breakthroughs put the Knight Riders under immense pressure, disrupting their momentum and exposing their middle order to the new ball. Milne’s impact with the ball set the tone for his side’s dominance during the match, highlighting his value as a game-changing bowler.
Adam Milne, beauty! 🤩
A packed event from the Kiwi saw a great, but more importantly, two fire deliveries that knocked down the stumps! 🔥

The sixth match of the ILT20 2025 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi saw the Warriorz put the Knight Riders under immense pressure with some disciplined bowling after opting to bat first. The Knight Riders lost early wickets, starting with Salt (2 off 7 balls), who was clean by Adam Milne in the third over. Milne struck again within the same over, dismissing Mayers (21 off 9 balls) with a spectacular delivery.
Joe Clarke tried to stabilize the innings with a 27-ball 32-run knock, however Harmeet Singh he was caught lbw in the 12th over, further denting the Knight Riders’ momentum. Adil Rashid then showed his mastery with figures of 2/14, eliminating Michael Pepper (7) i Alishan Sharafu (25) at crucial moments. Laurie Evans remained unbeaten on 17 off 18 balls while at skipper Andrew Russell he added a quick 6 off 4 balls.
