Alicia Silverstone remembers tabloid disturbance during Batman and Robin

Alicia Silverstone Recalls a “horrific” experience she had with paparazzi when she was a young adult.

Silverstone, 48, opened for the intense scrutiny he received from tabloids while filming Batman & Robin In 1997 during her Monday, September 8, appearance on Dax Shepard‘s “An armchair specialistPodcast.

“I was running through the airport,” said Silverstone, who was about 20 when he was tapped to play a batgirl in the film. The film came two years after his role as Cher Horowitz at Clue Shooting her to Stardom.

The crushing actress recalled “hiding” in a “little square box” at the airport while paparazzi shouted at her, calling it mainly to the nickname “fatgirl.”

“It’s clever,” he admitted. “Do you know what I would say back?… I mean, in my head because I didn’t want to talk to them. (I’d say,) ‘How do you go home in the evening and talk to your children?’ Like (if) your daughter is a huge fan for me. Is that feel good?

Silverstone continued, “And also, what does that tell your daughter that she is supposed to be? ‘Cause if this body is not right, then which body is right?”

He concluded, “It was really intense and sucked.… Definitely it had its effects for sure.”

Silverstone before opened about being a body shame by paparazzi and tabloids in filming Batman & Robin In a 2020 interview with The guardian.

“They would make fun of my body when I was younger,” he said, revealing that even a journalist had asked for her bra size. “It hurts, but I knew they were wrong. I wasn’t confused. I knew it wasn’t okay to make fun of someone’s body shape, that doesn’t seem like the right thing to be doing for human beings.”

Silverstone continued, “This was definitely not my favorite filmmaking experience. There were working circumstances that were less than favorable in how things went down.”

The Irish blood Star also opened what he learned from the experience.

“I didn’t say ‘f *** you’ and came out as a warrior, but I’d walk away and go, okay, I know what that is and I’ve done, I’m not going close to that yet, ‘” he said.

Since then Silverstone has changed his perspective on responding to criticism. In 2022, he divided a picture of a throw back and labeled “Alicia Silverstone Convening Fat Photo.” Silverstone gave the middle finger to the camera as GayHe played a “Abcdefu” song over the clip.

“Damn. I think I look good 😂🤷️,” wrote the ungodly star in the headline.

While Silverstone “stopped acting loving for a very long time” after Batman & Robinhe said by The guardian that she had been revived later by a role in a David Mama Play and begin to take on roles in which he believed only.

“My body was exactly like, this is what I’m supposed to do, I love so much, I need to find a way to do both, be able to be an actress and be an activist at the same time so that’s what I did,” added Silverstone.
