Mike Hakabi, the United States Ambassador to Israel, told Laura Kuensberg BBC that the Palestinian state is planned to recognize the “catastrophic consequences”.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said in September the UK recognized the Palestinian state if Israel does not meet certain conditions, including agreeing to cease fire to gas and revival the perspective of the two-state decision.
Australia, France, Japan and Canada made similar ads in support of the Palestinian state recognition.
The Israeli government says the recognition of “Hamas’s horrific terrorism” that is “no (Palestinian) partner for peace”.
At present, Palestine is recognized as 147 UN member states.
France, Canada and UK will be the first G7 powers.
