happy birthday, Christina Aguilera!
The pop star take to Instagram on Wednesday, December 18, to mark his 44th with a timeless portrait. In the black-and-white image, Aguilera strikes a sultry pose, crouching down with her side to the camera, her platinum blonde curls grazing her bare shoulders. She sports a black leather newsboy hat, black shorts, strappy heels and dramatic makeup.
“Birthday Suit #44,” Aguilera captioned her post.
Naturally, her fans went wild in the comments section.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEGENDTINA, THE BEST SINGER IN THIS—— WORLD,” one fan gushed.
Another wrote: “Getting older in years, but younger in appearance is what I’m talking about!!!!”
Aguilera, who won five Grammy Awards during her Y2K heyday, completed a nine-month residency in Vegas in August. Three months later, she perform a surprise duet with Sabrina Carpenter during Carpenter’s Short ‘N Sweet Trip concert in Los Angeles.
At the time, Aguilera burst onto the scene, wearing bustier black and silver over-the-knee boots as she performed a vocal riff that launched into a rendition of “Ain’t No Other Man”. Carpenter, 25, joined her on stage to complete the number, per social media film. They also sang Aguilera’s “What a Girl Wants”.
In November, Aguilera share a rare glimpse of her family of four via Instagram. The “Genie in a Bottle” singer posed with her fiancé, Matthew Rutlerand her two children, son Max, 16, and daughter Summer, 10. (Aguilera welcomed Max with ex-husband Jordan Bratman in 2008 and shares a Summer with Rutler, 39.)
“On the way to school the other day with her father, (Summer) said, ‘When I grow up, I want to be either Mama’s photographer or Mama’s manager.’ It’s so funny,” Aguilera said Vogue earlier this year. “So we said Yes.i.am that (when he came to see the show), and he was like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s your girl-ager.’ So merch-ager is the word of the year. It’s so cute.”
Aguilera spoke about her journey with motherhood in an interview with her Haute Living in 2019, explaining how it is balances her family and her career in order to create a stable life for her children.
“I made the decision for quite some time not to go on tour for a while because I thought it was the best thing to make a more stable, normal life for my children,” he said at the time. “Even when I took the spot (The Voice), it wasn’t something I really wanted to pursue. I decided, ‘It keeps me in LA and in a place where I can focus on my kids.'”
She added, “Pretty much everything I’ve decided to do has been influenced by (my children), but at the same time, I need to make sure I don’t lose myself and that I time stays based on what’s important to me.”
