Lipton, Ellis, Yun, Murdock and Colwher formed the musical group in 2021 When Pate released a casting call to a group appear External banks. The runs was selected from 5,000 musicians who responded. The episode was filmed in 2022, as the Runarounds recorded EP and toured.
“The time we met us playing a bunch of music together,” Ellis remembered while talking to her Us. “But we also tried to act out some scenes. Thankfully Mr Chase Stokes was there with us really training us.”
He continued: “This was our first time ever trying to act actually. So it was amazing and if he hadn’t been there, I don’t know if I would be here.”

Yun specifically showed his support for another opportunity for The runs and the External banks characters to cross paths.
“That would be great. That would be fun,” he shared. “We would be fortunate to work with (them) because now the universe is not connected.”
Viewer Tuned in The runs Will I am delighted that Jonas confirmed in December 2024 that Prime Video had already ordered a second season before the show even showed for the first time. Also revealed he writes prequel to External bankstitle Kildare. The series is still in the early stages but would feature a completely new set of young actors and focuses on establishing each group in the fictional town of the show 8.
