Mayor New York Eric Adams On Friday, he held a press conference, at which he dispelled with wide rumors that he would refuse his application and promised to stay in the race, saying: “I’m running, and I’m going to defeat Mamdani.”
Adams, who was elected mayor of the Democrat in 2022, works as an independent and confronted with a heavy battle against the mayor of the Democratic Party, Zohran MammaniMuslim and socialist who was born Uganda. Former Governor of the Democratic Governor in New York Andrew Kuom also works as an independent after playing Mamman in a democratic primary race in June.
Adams aimed at both Mammani and on Godfather During the press conference on Friday, saying: “I have two spoiled brothers running for the mayor.”
“I want to be understandable with you,” said Adams, “Andrew Kuoma is a snake and a liar. I’m in this race, and I’m the only one who can defeat Mamman.”

“This is such a major and important period, and we must everything right,” he continued.
“They were born with silver spoons in their mouths. Not like a New York working class. I am a New Yorker working class. They aren’t like us,” he said. “They never had to fight. They never had to fight. They never had to experience difficult times as you, and I had to survive, New York.”
He especially sought Kuom, accusing him of “a career of being displaced by black candidates from the races.”
He also addressed the rumors that he was discussing with President Donald Trump about the opportunity to join his administration.

“There are many messages that I am in Washington on Monday. These messages are wrong. I’m not,” Adams said. “I will move through this city in five districts that made me mayor in the first place. I’m running for re -election, and I’m going to tell every day about New York, why I believe I should become the mayor of New York in 2026.”
He admitted that he was far behind Mammani in the election, but rejected it, saying: “I hear the election, I hear the comments, I hear the students.
“But these are the same polls that followed from eight weeks that Andrew Quomo rose by 36 points, and even his poll raised it by ten points, these are the same polls as he was going to become the mayor of New York, who believes it is a comforting prize, because he did the determination.”
