Three ways of scandal from Epstein can go on Trump

Watch: Survival Epstein speak publicly outside the US Capitol

If the Republican leaders in Washington hoped that a monthly break in Congress would help Jeffrey Epstein, who was behind this week, the madness of activity was thwarted by these hopes – at least while.

Last Friday, the Ministry of Justice released more than 33,000 pages of documents related to its Epstein’s investigation into children. By Monday, a consensus was formed that most of the information was already publicly available or little interesting.

At the beginning of the week, Republican Thomas Massi from Kentucky and Democrat Ru -Khan from California resumed their efforts to collect “petition” in the House of Representatives, who will make it vote for public information about all information about the Epstein government.

On Wednesday, a group of victims of Epstein and their families held a press conference on the steps of the Capitol to support petitions and called for a complete disclosure of information in the Epstein case.

In combination, it was the crusher of attention that he helped to invade the greater public. But will it remain there? Here are the possible scenario of what is next.

Heat on Trump increases

The press conference of the victims can mean a dramatic turn in Epstein’s saga.

Missing in the Washington dialogue, which was focused on clients’ lists and the possible involvement of the rich and powerful, the persons of those who were damaged or destroyed as Epstein’s children were damaged.

A gathering in the Capitol on Wednesday put these victims and in the center – with an additional promise that they would not be silent.

Donald Trump tried to deprive Epstein case as “hoax” committed by his political enemies for several months.

In this case, this strategy, although effective in the past, becomes harder.

And if masses and khana succeed in forceing the vote to the House to publicly release all other Epstein files – and they have a new, politically damaged information related to Trump or other loud political figures – the dam may break.

The White House denied the Wall Street Journal report that Trump told the Attorney General in May that his name appeared in the materials related to the Epstein investigations who took his own life in prison.

He was friends with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, but not to indicate some criminal activity. Trump has never been accused by investigators of violations in connection with the Epstein case.

Even if there is no “customer list” of rich and powerful Epstein, the victims may appear. They promised to gather the names of those who, according to them, were closely related to Epstein and were associated with his guns.

“I am not afraid to call names,” said Major Taylor Green from Georgia, one of the Republican Congress members and usually Loyalist Trump. “And so if they want to give me a list, I will go to this capitol on the floor of the house, and tell every damn name that abused these women.”

These are the ingredients that could expand the flames in Epstein’s history when summer turns into autumn.

It knocks but little damage

Perhaps in any new Epstein documents, there is nothing new that get into public access. Or maybe efforts in Congress to force public disclosure simply. Even when the victims and their families become more prominent, new exposures or information are what they move news cycles and significantly move public opinion.

In this scenario, the history of Epstein does not disappear completely, but it never becomes a crisis that causes long political damage to the Trump administration. This is a distraction, not a violation.

As the Republican Party is preparing for the intermediate elections in Congress next year, which create carefully disputed, even modest dragging their public approval – a sabotage that prevents them from focusing on a more useful message of the company – may have significant consequences for voting.

As Trump noted on Tuesday, it is difficult to break the conspiracy theory. He drawn parallels with the murder of John Kennedy in 1963 and his recent orders to release more state documents.

“You know that it reminds me a little about the situation with Kennedy,” he said. “We gave them all over and over again, more and more, and no one is satisfied.”

Trump will be more familiar with the recent collusion around the homeland of former President Barack Obama. The White House has released short and long form certificates, which show that Obama was born in the US, but doubted, first of all, Trump himself was never satisfied.

Turn, as they say, is a fair game.

Fades up to black, scandal has been burning

If there is one indisputable force that Trump has demonstrated in his 10 years in national political attention, it is the ability to survive every scandal and disputes that come to it. Although Epstein’s history has a toxic blend of strength, abuse, gender and influence, there is no sign that it will be different.

“He did it before, and he would do it again,” is the mantra, which the White House seeking the best scenario can want to repeat. Without new revelations, the public will eventually be tired of this story – otherwise it will be buried with a new scandal, conflict or media -war.

If so, the Epstein saga returns to the corners of the Internet and political fringe, joining Kennedy’s murder, landing in the US and, yes, the Obama birth certificate as the low -income center.

It may not be justice – it may be too late, but it will not be a stranger’s ending with modern American politics.
