Caitlin Clark is about to lose the rest of the Wnba season after suffering an AFL injury in July.
“I had hoped to share a better update, but I won’t return to play this season,” wrote Clark, 23, in Instagram After late Thursday, September 4, alongside black-and-white illustrations of her and her fellow players. “I spent hours in the gym every day with the individual goal of going back out, disappointing is not a big enough word to describe how I feel.”

The way the fans continued to show me, and for the fever, so much joy and an important perspective came to me. I’m so proud of how this team is strong this year.”
“Now it’s time to exclude the season and claim our place in the Playoffs🖤,” Clark concluded.
