Lynn scored a 108 unbeaten of 51 balls, including 11 six and 5 four, at a strike rate above 200. It was his fourth century in the T20 explosion and his first for Hampshire. The batter had previously scored three centuries for Northamptonshire in 2021 and 2022.

Previously, Hampshire chose Bowl first and traveled the highest order of Northamptonshire, leaving them to fight 86 by 6 at a time. Justin Broad scored 61 unbeaten of 39 deliveries to raise the total to 158 for 7 in 18 points.
