Ruturaj Gaikwad last played in India in 2024
Gaikwad was last seen in action for the National Cricket team of India in July 2024 in a T20I match against the Zimbabwe cricket national team.
Prior to his appearance at Buchi Babu Invitational, Gaikwad was last seen in action in April 2025 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was ruled out of the Premier League of India 2025 due to an elbow injury and handed the captaincy to Mrs. Dhoni.
Ruturaj Gaikwad could only participate in five games where he scored 122 runs at an average of 24.40 and a strike rate of 150.61, with two scores of 50 more.
After recovering from his injury, he traveled with India to the team in England by matches against England Lions but did not have the opportunity to play the matches
He had also signed an agreement with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club for five regional championship games, as well as the Bank One-Day metro cup.
However, days before his time, he released his agreement with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club for “personal reasons”.
