When choosing the best five operating films in 2025 so far, the Watch with us Team stuck with the movies that are actually part of the genre.
By the time December arrives, this list can look very different. But we suspect that our choice for number 1 could remain the same.

5. ‘Working Man’ (2025)

A man who works not the most Jason Statham Flicking action, but it includes the actor doing what he does best: kicking a donkey. Statham’s title character is Levon Cade, a construction worker who seeks to move past his time as a commando to the Royal Marine. All that Levon really wants is to regain the custody of his daughter, Merry (Isla gie).
Levon is close to his boss, Joe Garcia (Michael Peña), and sympathizes when Russian gangsters kidnap Joe’s daughter, Jenny (Arianna rivas). In order to bring Jenny back home to her parents, Levon has to regain her murderer and raining hell instinct on a group of human traders. But that kind of violence will blow back on Levon and everyone he loves.

What Christian finds is a conspiracy that is too big for him to treat alone. That means Christian has to join his disengaged brother, Braxton (Jon Bernthal), for help. Even after being reunited, the brothers can be completely outweighed by the forces that are in line with them.

2. ‘Ballerina’ (2025)

Keanu Reeves‘John Wick appears in this flic, as is Ian McShane Like Winston Scott and the recent Lance reddick Like Charon. But if you get into this expected to be John Wick 4.5Then you are going to be disappointed. It’s a very good action movie in itself but Ballerina is no John Wick.

If a film costs $ 300 million or more to make it, it was better for it to be one of the best action films of the year.
