5 Amazon Prime’s great video movie to watch on Mother’s Day

Star Dakota Fanning and Brittany Murphy. Uptown girls is a film about the more unconventional mother-girl relationships in life. When Molly Gunn (Murphy) naive heiress loses her inheritance, she is forced to get a job as a nanny to the Lorraine “Ray” Schleine (Fanning) Lorraine and upright. Despite their difference in ages and levels of maturity, the two women wind up finding some of the maternal support they have never received from each other.

Their rocky relationship at first transforms into a nursery bond gradually where they all provide the emotional support and guidance that the other is missing, highlighting that maternal love can come from places and unexpected people.

This funny, charming film emphasizes the themes of growth, reception and transverse power of love, which are great themes for Mother’s Day. By humor and poignant moments, Uptown girls Shows us that maternity is not only defined by blood links, but also by the care, guidance and love shared between individuals. It’s a slightly less obvious, but still rewarding, addition to Mothering Sunday Film Marathon.
