Who doesn’t love July 4th?
Whether you’re a big fan of patriotism or you like to have the day off work, this summer holiday is a perfect excuse to celebrate with a great movie.
These five films – all available on Amazon Prime Video – Hit the theme of Independence Day from different angles.

‘My old ass’ (2024)

This teenage movie stars Aubrey Plaza related to all the girl last summer before college, and the di -hid summer atmosphere makes it a July 4th Fflic for us. Maiy Stella Playing the role of Elliott, a teenage girl hoping to spend the summer hanging out with her friends and grabbing her long -lasting crush, Chelsea. But her plans change when she takes magic mushrooms and winds up face to face with an older version of herself (Plaza).
Taking advice from her “old donkey,” she is trying to make the most of her last days remaining with her family. She also fights her growing attraction to Chad (Percy Hynes White), a looks lovely guy who his older self warns to avoid by all means. This beautiful story of age will make you cherish the remaining summer days, no matter how old you are.

‘American fiction’ (2023)

Not only does this “American” film have in the title, it’s a great supplement entertainment if you like to spend the 4th on the beach with a great book. (American fiction based on Percival Everett’s novel Eliminate.) Jeffrey Wright Playing “Monk” Thelonious Ellison, a black writer and a frustrating teacher with stereotypical “black” books – many feel a pander to stereotypes – overflowing the market. As a joke, he writes the most stereotypical, stereotypical book he can think of, just get him to become a book seller.
At the same time, Monk believes with the problems in his family who are disengaged by cleaning his mother’s old beach house. It’s a dark funny film about race and class in American culture that won a well -deserved Oscar for the best customized screenshot. The excellent supporting cast includes Sterling K. Brown and Rywhich adds depth and humor to the film.
‘Challengers’ (2024)

If summer sports are your jam and you plan to spend the 4th watching Wimbledon, we suggest Challenger Like your weekend movie. This sizzling dramedy of Call me by your name director Luca Guadagnino star Zedaya Like Tashi Duncan, a promising and dedicated tennis player who forms a long -standing love triangle with two best friends.
The film explores art (Mike Fait) and Patrick (Josh O’Connor) and their complex relationships with tennis, Tashi and each other. It’s a sexual and funny film that will get your head searching – or maybe turning from side to side so you watch a ball travel up and down the courtyard. The tension is just as distracted as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to Open US last year.

‘Red, White and Royal Blue’ (2023)

If you would like to take the play out of politics and imagine a cheerful version of international relations on Independence Day, Red, White and Royal Blue is the ticket only. This original Amazon ROM-Com follows Alex, the first son of the United States (Taylor Zakhar Perez), and Prince Henry, third in accordance with the British throne (Nicholas Galitzine). Their joint hatred leads to a scandal, which in turn leads to a classic public relations solution – Alex and Henry will pretend to be the best buds.
What no one counted on was the two young men falling in love. As they face the expectations of their respective countries and families, Alex and Henry must consider their identities – national and personal. It’s a warm and sweet ROM-com that feels like a modern fairy tale.

If you are looking for a more serious and emotional watch this July 4th, Save ryan private fulfilled. This powerful war epic of Steven Spielberg star Tom Hanks As a captain leading a team of troops behind enemy lines during World War II to save one man – Private James Francis Ryan (Matt Damon).
With polished reality, heartbreaking performances and duty themes, sacrifice and patriotism, it is a poignant reminder of the real lives behind American freedom. It does not watch lightly, but it is absolutely essential.
