Before midnight is the most melancholy record of the trilogy, as it deals with all the pain and distress that develops age. Jesse and Celine are no longer young and in love, and are not curious about what a future would look like with them. They now live with the reality of being together, and it’s not as ideal as they are – or anyone – in the picture.

Something is touching and essential about Before midnight; This is the rare movie that is honest about ideal romance restrictions and how love actually lasts. The finale is so perfect, it makes you wish Linklater never makes another sequence with these dear characters again.

Rotten tomatoes score: 90 percent

New York City Socialite Jasmine Francis (Cate Blanchett) out of money and out of options. That’s why she goes to San Francisco to live with her disengaged sister, Ginger (Sally Hawkins), and take a job at a dentist’s office to rebuild her life. But as much as she wants to avoid the past, Jasmine cannot defeat him forever, and the more she is resistant, the harder she will face an uncertain future.

Blue jasmin is directed by Woody AllenWho is best known for its signed classics NYC-set as Annie Hall and Hannah and her sistersBut it contains little of her trademark humor or authoritative imprint. That is a good thing, as a compelling story of the movie (owed to real life cause Bernie Madoff) and a great lead performance by Blanchett doing Blue jasmin One of the best movies of the 2010s. This is a comedy in a name only as a torn-on-the-head story evolves to be a tragedy worthy of Tennessee Williams.
